CLEAN CARAMEL

Snackable heaven in your mouth, right here. There are literal protests in my house when we don’t have this on hand if that paints any sort of picture for you. It’s SO. FREAKING. GOOD. Clean caramel at its absolute finest.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup almond butter

  • 4 tbsp melted coconut oil

  • 1/4-1/2 cup maple syrup (depending on sweet preference)

  • Splash of vanilla extract

  • 4 pitted dates (you can soak these in water ahead of time if you want it more smooth… I prefer to leave them whole cause I don’t mind it being a tad bit chunkier)

  • Sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

  • Hefty pinch of sea salt

The beauty of this recipe is how stinking easy it is. Through everything into a food processor, start out pulsing and then let it run for a minute or two. Cut up some apples, through a spoonful in your latte, drizzle on some clean brownies… the options are endless with this one.

This recipe was inspired by one of my favorite whole-food bakers, Sweet Laurel.
